39 weeks 3 days and she's here!!

The morning of 2/12/16 I headed to the hospital at 7am.  I was scheduled to be induced.  After getting all settled in they checked and I was dilated to 4 and my water was broken at 9 am.  Right away the contractions picked up. Shortly after I needed my room to be dark and quiet and everyone went to wait.  At 10:30 I received an epidural.  At 11:30 I told my nurse that the baby was coming. The doctors and nurses quickly got everything ready and baby's mom came in.  I only pushed for 5 minutes and she was born at 11:50 am.  She was 8lbs 1oz and 19.5 inches long.  It was so great to see baby's mom and dad get to hold her for the first time and watch her be weighed, measured, and checked out.  They are so in love and my portion of this journey is complete.

Yesterday my kids got to meet baby girl and they were in awe, it was adorable.  They both got to hold her and finally see the baby that had been kicking them at bedtime at night =)

I got some baby snuggles also!

It's so fun to see mom and dad with their baby girl.  They are enjoying every minute of her and I am so excited for them!  I bet they can't wait to get her home and get settled in.

I am now home from the hospital.  It was odd leaving the hospital without a baby but I have my two littles to keep me busy.  I was OFTEN asked if I would have a hard time "giving her up".  Now that I am home I can definitely say while it was different leaving without a baby after giving birth, I didn't give her up, I gave her back!  I am so happy for their new family of three and am really looking forward to updates from her parents as she grows!

38 weeks!

I am 38 weeks today!  I'm still shooting for the 9th for delivery day!

I spent a little time in labor & delivery last Thursday.  I have had contractions on and off but nothing steady.  I'm dilated to 3.

I had an OB appointment yesterday.  Dr says everything looks good.  Next appointment next Monday.

I'm definitely feeling ready.  All my joints hurt, my back hurts, I don't sleep.  But that means the end is near which is very exciting!  I will soon get to hand her over to her Mommy and Daddy!

36 weeks 1 day

I had an OB appointment on Monday.

Baby's heartrate was 152.

Looks like I've hit the point where there is now little to no weight gain in these last weeks and I'll take it!

If this baby comes as early as my little dude she could be here in 3 weeks!  I keep telling her February 9th would be a good birthday so we'll see if she agrees.

I'm in the home stretch and I'm feeling it!

34 weeks 1 day

I had an OB appointment this past Monday.

Measuring on track and baby's heartrate was 161.

I have pricked my finger a lot and I think it's safe to say I do not have gestational diabetes.  And I'm glad I did the finger pricks rather than the 3 hour test!

I'm getting uncomfortable and the countdown is on.  If this baby comes as early as my last, she could be here in 5 weeks!

I have another 2 week appointment and then moving on to the weekly appointments.

29 weeks 1 day!

On Monday I had another OB appointment.  I'm measuring right on track and the baby's heartrate was 167.  According to what to expect, the baby is about 3 pounds.

I received a shot of Rhogam since my blood type is RH negative and had my glucose screening.

I found out yesterday my levels were "slightly elevated" over the "cut off point".  I opted to check my blood sugar at home rather than take the 3 hour glucose test.  I'd much rather prick my finger than fast and drink a nasty sugary drink and sit in the doctor's office for 3+ hours while I try not to throw up or pass out =)

10 weeks 6 days +/-!!

25 weeks 3 days

I had an OB appointment today.  HR was 160.  Measuring right on track.

I will go back in 3 weeks for the next appointment which will include glucose testing which I despise and a shot of Rhogam.  The 3rd trimester is almost here!

21 weeks 2 days

 I am now 21 weeks 2 days. Over halfway! Today we had an ultrasound. The IP's got to be here and found out they are having a little girl! She looked perfect and is 14 ounces.  I'm feeling her move and the last few days she's been a little crazy when I lay down at night.  She had hiccups today during the ultrasound, so cute!
